Ralph E. Becklin

Ralph E. Becklin, age 85, passed away at home on Saturday, October 13, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley (Rogers) Becklin; four children, Michal (Stoney) Brown, Thomas Becklin, Margo (Joseph) Karchinski, and Marlene (Johnny) Wolcott. He was well loved and will be missed by 14 grandchildren, and 34 great-grandchildren; as well as eight siblings, and many friends. Ralph was preceded in death by his daughter, Monica; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, along with four siblings. Ralph was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II, he was co-owner operator of Becklin Brown Construction Company, and a member of the VFW in Grand Haven. He was a member of Fruitport Congregational United Church of Christ, 9 South Eighth Street, in Fruitport, where a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Don Wood officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to Harbor Hospice, American Cancer Society, Diabetes Foundation, or the Kidney Foundation.
