Rafferty, Beverly J.

Mrs. Beverly J. Rafferty age, 82, passed away Sunday morning, January 28, 2007 in Muskegon. She was born July 12, 1924 to William and Maude (Marsden) LeBoeuf and had resided in Muskegon all of her life. On August 17, 1946 she married Joseph F. Rafferty in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death on May 1, 1986. Mrs. Rafferty worked for Consumers Power doing clerical work for 36 years before her retirement. After her retirement she worked for Borgman and Borgman Insurance. Mrs. Rafferty loved traveling with Fred's Fun Bus from the VFW 446 and with the Orchard View Travelers. She also enjoyed making ceramics and collecting angels. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and a member of VFW Post 446 Auxiliary and the Vikings Lodge. SURVIVORS include 2 brothers-in-law, A. W. (Barbra) Rafferty and Roy (Marilyn) Rafferty; special nieces Sue Brown and Roxanne Lukehart, Gina Davila, Kim Wiles and Pam Strait; and special nephew Christopher Alex. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and close friend Helen Walters. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph; 4 brothers: Wilfred (Rose); Ronald (Margaret), LaVerne and William LeBoeuf, Jr.; 3 sisters: Avalon (Steve) Alex, Patricia Bush, and Gloria (Fred) Stroup. SERVICES will be held 10:00AM Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes 231-759-8565 VISITATION will be held Tuesday from 6-8 pm and one hour prior to the service. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS in honor of Beverly may be given to the American Diabetes Association or the American Red Cross.
