Presvytera Ann Yankopoulos

Presvytera B. Ann Yankopoulos, age 74, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014. She was born in Huntington, WV on March 3, 1940 to Earl & Ora (Belle) Hege and married Rev. Fr. Steven Yankopoulos on January 25, 1960. Presvytera Yankopoulos had been employed as an Airline Representative for American Airlines until retiring. She was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. SURVIVORS Brother, Edward (Sukanya) Hege of CA; one niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Fr. Steven Yankopoulos in 2005, the Annunciation Parish Priest. SERVICE Friday, May 30, 2014, 11:00 AM at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Metropolitan Nicholas of the Diocese of Detroit officiating, assisted by Parish Priest, Fr. Basil Aden and accompanied by other priests. Interment at Holy Dormition Monastery, Rives Junction MI. VISITATION Thursday, 3:00-8:00 PM with a Trisagion service at 7:30 PM at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. MEMORIAL: Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church (either AGOC Ladies Society or Memorial Fund) or the United Way.
