Posvistak, Jeane

Mrs. Jeane Posvistak, age 84, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning and peacefully went home to be with her Lord. She was born September 2, 1922 in Santa Rosa, CA to Arthur and Clara (Bennett) Thompson. She married Walter Posvistak in Santa Rosa, CA on February 24, 1945 and relocated to Muskegon. Mrs. Posvistak was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Fruitport Seniors and TOPS. She was employed as a secretary for Fruitport Middle School until retiring in 1983. She is survived by her husband, Walter of 61 years; 1 daughter, Diane C. (Jim) Zechlinski of Muskegon; 2 sons, Russell J. (Charlotte) Posvistak of Shelby and Wally L. (Teresa) Posvistak of Muskegon; 1 brother, Raymond (Ludi) Thompson of Virginia; 1 sister, Virginia Castillo of California; 3 grandchildren, James (Shannon) Posvistak, Andrea (Darrin Miller) Posvistak and Brian (Allison) Jackson; and 12 great-grandchildren. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held Wednesday 11 A.M. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2651 E. Shettler Rd., with Rev. Geoffrey A. Kieta presiding. INTERMENT: Mona View Cemetery.
