Mr. Milton Milo "Tiny" Piper, age 90, died peacefully Friday, February 2, 2007. He was born on March 8, 1916 in Muskegon to Milo and Hilda (Carlson) Piper. Milton married Miss Oliva J. Verboncouer on July 3, 1937 and she died on November 3, 2006. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a former member of the Muskegon Eagles, Grand Haven Elks Lodge, Knights of Columbus, Muskegon Moose and the Muskegon Musicians Union. He was a machinist at Teledyne-Continental Motors before retiring and was the owner/founder/band leader of "Tiny" Piper's Orchestra. Survivors include his three children, Ronald (Margaret) Piper of Gilroy, CA, Larry (Cathy) Piper of Constantine, MI and Patricia (Bruce) Dahlman of Grand Haven, MI; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. "Tiny" was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and son, Roger Piper on May 24, 1954. The Funeral Liturgy will begin at 11 am Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation hours will be Monday from 6 - 8 pm at the Pachesny-Jend Funeral home, where the Rosary will be Prayed at 7:30 pm. Visitation also Monday at the church one hour prior to service. Memorial Contributions to St. Mary's Church Endowment Fund.
