Gary "John" Pierce, age 50, of Dalton Township, died February 3, 2007. Born June 15, 1956, in Muskegon, to Willie and Vivian (Sheneman) Pierce, had lived in the area all his life. He had worked as a self-employed carpenter. John loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to do things with his hands. Mr. Pierce served in the US Army from 1975-1978. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Teresa Black and Jackulyn Pierce, and a special brother-in-law, Charles Walker. FAMILY: His wife, Tami; 2 daughters, Jennifer LeOne and Amy Puffer; a son, Jeff Pierce; granddaughters, Brianna Genson, Rebecca Genson, Cailynn LeOne and Hailey Pierce; grandsons, Dylan Pierce and Alexander Whittington; sisters, Laura Jean Reardon, Shirley Orcutt, Artist Easton, Sandy Montonati and Pat Walker; brothers, Vern (Betty) Pierce, Milo (Georgia) Pierce, Bill Pierce, Dennis (Kim) Pierce and Dave (Ruth) Leedy; several nephews & nieces. SERVICE: Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at 1:00 PM, from Clock Chapel-Whitehall with the Rev. Gene Walter officiating. Interment will be made in Fruitland Township Cemetery. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted at the funeral home by VFW Post #446. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday, 11:00 AM until service time, at Clock Funeral Home in Whitehall.
