Phyllis I. Wood

Mrs. Phyllis I. Wood, age 90, died Saturday, November 17, 2007. She was born in Waubay, SD on September 15, 1917 to Roswell R & Carrie (Johnson) Kempter & married William G. Wood on June 3, 1941. Mrs. Wood had been employed as a kindergarten teacher at Orchard View for 25 years until retiring on July 8, 1984. She was a member of Friends of Art & Friends of Hackley Library. Phyllis was an avid reader & participated in the local Great Book Study Group. SURVIVORS She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Wood. She is survived by her brother, Charles R. (Phyllis) Kempter of Soap Lake, WA. She will be mourned by her good friends Janet S. Thomas & Antoinette Carron who wish to extend special thanks to Angela Ruhstorfer, the entire Comfort Keepers staff, Dr. James Grace MD and his staff and Harbor Hospice Poppen House.
