WHITEMAN, MRS. PHYLLIS MAE Muskegon Mrs. Phyllis Mae Whiteman, age 76, died Monday, October 8, 2001 at home. She was born in Muskegon, MI on May 27, 1925 to Otto & Emma Rosema Leffring & married George Whiteman. Mrs. Whiteman had worked as a Processor at National Fruit Co. in Kent City, MI. She was a charter resident of Nelson Place where she served on many committees & was a former member of the Moose Lodge. SURVIVORS 1 daughter, Linda Raul Figueroa of St. Simons Island, GA, 2 grandchildren, Andrea Figueroa of Jamestown, NY & Anthony Figueroa of U.S. Coast Guard; 1 brother, Arthur Leffring of Muskegon; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Donald & Mary Whiteman of Casnovia, MI as well as many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; a daughter, Susan Anne Playter; 2 sisters, Dorothy Prause & Marguerite Coon & by a brother, Jack Robert Leffring.
