Phyllis Sharlow

Mrs. Phyllis M. Sharlow, age 83, passed away Wednesday, June 06, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Sharlow was born December 29, 1923 to Elmer and Ethel (Hemphill) Johnson in Hesperia. On December 5, 1942 she married Glen Sharlow in Hesperia and they moved to the Muskegon area in 1946. Phyllis was a longtime member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was very involved. Her priorities in life were her family and her church. SURVIVORS include her husband of 65 years, Glen; 4 sons, Jerry (Jan) Sharlow, Ken (Dawn) Sharlow and Pat (Pam) Sharlow, all of Muskegon and Jim (Loraine) Sharlow of Hart; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, Willis Johnson and a sister, Maxine Wolf. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 11 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1206 Whitehall Rd., with Rev. William Uetricht officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hackley VNS Hospice or First Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund.
