Phyllis A Hallberg

Hallberg, Mrs. Phyllis Adeline Muskegon Mrs. Phyllis Adeline Hallberg, age 94, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan on July 16, 1922 to Emery & Loraine (Rattray) Martin and married James A. Hallberg on February 21, 1942. Mrs. Hallberg had been employed as a secretary for Muskegon Public Schools for 28 years until retiring in 1985. Phyllis was a member of First Congregational Church UCC since 1949, "The Group" for over 50 years, Muskegon Association of Retired School Personnel, Vikings Linne' Lodge for over 33 years and former member of Hackley Hospital Hostesses and Muskegon Town Club. SURVIVORS Daughter, Pamela (Thomas) Mills of FL; son, James E. Hallberg of Muskegon; grandchildren, Jonathon (Chrissy) Hallberg, Alyson (Bart) Foster, Steven Mills, Sara Hallberg & Mary Hallberg; great grandchildren, Ansley Kate Foster, Owen Foster, Joseph Hallberg, Charmaine "Charlie" Hallberg & Morgan Robinson; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James in 2009; son, John M. Hallberg in 2002; daughter-in-law, Diane Hallberg in 2010; brother, John Martin: sister, Barbara Seney. SERVICE July 15, 2017, 11:00 am at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Timothy D. Vander Haar officiating. VISITATION July 14, 2017, 5:00-7:00 PM and One hour prior to the service at Clock Funeral Home - Muskegon. MEMORIAL: Harbor Hospice or First Congregational Church UCC.
