Phyllis Lucille Groeneveld

Groeneveld, Phyllis Lucille Norton Shores, Michigan Phyllis Lucille Groeneveld, age 93, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022. She was born in Muskegon, MI on April 26, 1929, to Clyde & Gladys (Boyden) Hollar, graduated from Muskegon High School in 1947 and married Cornelius "Casey" Groeneveld on August 18, 1950. Mrs. Groeneveld had been employed as the secretary at the family business, Management Resources, until retiring. After her son Kent was injured in an auto accident she selflessly cared for him during his remaining years and also became involved in the West Michigan Head Injury Alliance. Phyllis was a very active and longtime member of Anchor Point Bible Church. She and her husband were involved with the Grace Christian movement and traveled around the country teaching Bible Studies classes. She enjoyed baking, sewing, quilting, and knitting. She made countless quilts and blankets for loved ones and as donations. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. SURVIVORS 2 Sons, Kurt Groeneveld of Grand Rapids, Kevin (Candace Allender) Groeneveld of Minneapolis, MN; Grandchildren, Kayleah (Justin Blouin) Groeneveld, Mark Groeneveld, Melissa (Scott) Stahle, Kiersten (Paul) Whiting; Great-Grandchildren, Ashton Whiting, Grayson Stahle, Paul Whiting, Emerson Stahle, Sawyer Blouin; Daughter-in-law Kathy Zickel; Sister Dayle (Henry) Karel and Brother Samuel (Joan) Hollar. She was preceded in death by her husband Casey in 2009, Son, Kent; siblings, Winona Ondra, David Hollar, and Pamela Flickema.
