Phillip J. Valk

VALK, MR. PHILLIP J. Norton Shores Mr. Phillip J. Valk, age 64, went to be with his Lord, Monday April 5, 2004. He was born in Muskegon on May 18, 1939 to John & Hermine Fles Valk and married the former Daughn A. Burson on June 18, 1960. Mr.Valk was a graduate of Muskegon Heights High School. He had been employed as a Head Custodian at Muskegon Public Schools until retiring in 1996 and then had become the playground supervisor at Angell School. Mr. Valk had attended Mona Shores Baptist Church. SURVIVORS Wife, Daughn A. Valk of Norton Shores; 2 children, Phyllis Chris Huber of Twin Lake and John Becky Valk of Norton Shores; 2 grandchildren, Tyler Valk and Mary Valk; 2 brothers, David Laura Valk of Norton Shores and James Denise Valk of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his faithful friend Toughie. SERVICE Thursday, April 8, 2004, 1:00 PM at Mona Shores Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Sieffert officiating. Interment at Norton Cemetery. VISITATION Wednesday, 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service. MEMORIAL: Lord Expand Our Shores Campaign at Mona Shores Baptist Church or American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Clock - Muskegon
