Phillip Buys

Mr. Phillip Buys, age 90, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on November 2, 1924 to William & Emma (West) Buys and served his country in the US Army. He married the former Joan DeGraff on December 16, 1946. Mr. Buys had been employed as a heavy equipment operator for Jackson-Merky Contractors for years until retiring. Phillip attended Laketon Bethel Reformed Church and was a member of V.F.W. #8846, Don Rea Post. He enjoyed fishing, hunting & golfing, but foremost was always his family. SURVIVORS Son, Phillip R. (Susan) Buys II of N. Muskegon; daughters, Peggy (Joe) Saputo of TX, Becky (Richard) Girard of FL; 9 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brothers, Leonard (Barb) Buys of Muskegon, Russell (Elaine) Buys of Muskegon; sister, Betty Kraai of Muskegon; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan, 1 sister and 4 brothers. SERVICE Friday, April 17, 2015, 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the service at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church with Rev.
