Philip Smalley

Mr. Philip Smalley, age 64, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014. He was born in Perrinton, Michigan on July 12, 1950 to Orlo & Norma (Downing) Smalley and married the former Joan Parker on November 7, 2008. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Era and was employed as a Supervisor at the Department of Corrections. Philip was a member of Perrinton MI VFW. He was an avid gardener and landscaper who enjoyed his Koi pond and pets, but foremost was always his family. SURVIVORS Wife Joan; son, Kevin (Bonnie) Smalley of Harrison MI; daughters, Jaime Schutter of Muskegon, Christine Cruz of Grand Haven; mother, Norma Wickman of Sheridan MI; sisters, Kay (Wayne) Morrison of Sheridan MI, Janet (Rodney) Lane of Perrinton MI, Linda Michael of WA; friends, Jake & Jean Andrews; and his little dog, Lily. He was preceded in death by father, Orlo Smalley. SERVICE There will be no services, rather an event in celebration of Philip's life, the date of which will be determined later.
