Peter F. "Pete" Schuitema SCHUITEMA, MR. PETER F. "PETE" Husband of Charlotte Muskegon Mr. Peter F. "Pete" Schuitema, age 85, passed away Tuesday evening, January 17, 2006 at a local nursing home. He was born July 15, 1920 in Muskegon to Frank and Clara (Kamp) Schuitema, and had been a life resident. Mr. Schuitema worked for the Brunswick Corporation for 30 years before retiring in 1985. He was a member of Unity Reformed Church where he had served as an Elder and Deacon, belonged to the XYZ's, and the Adult Sunday School Class. He was an avid reader and loved to golf. On June 18, 1942, he married Charlotte Hazekamp in Muskegon, and she survives him along with 2 sons, Jack (Jean) Schuitema of Whitehall, Joel (Judy) Schuitema of Portage, MI; 3 grandchildren; 1 step-grandson; brother, Alvin (Marva) Schuitema of Muskegon; sister, Arlene Pawlick of Coopersville; sister-in-law, Kay Schuitema of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Jeff Schuitema, and brother, Ralph Schuitema. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Friday at Unity Reformed Church with Rev. Kyle DeYoung and Rev. James Bos officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
