On Thursday February 21, 2008, Pauline D. Rogers - Rohn passed away peacefully surrounded by her children at the North Ottawa Care Center. She lived a wonderful 90 years beginning on October 22, 1917 in Greenville, Pennsylvania on a small Dairy Farm with her parents Joseph and Mary (Benkofski) Bratek. She married James S. Rogers in Detroit, Michigan and then settled in Spring Lake. They were blessed with 7 children and a legacy of 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren & 8 great great grandchildren. Pauline later married Andrew Rohn. Pauline enjoyed her family, her home, her bingo and in later years her meticulous yard with a profusion of flowers, berries and a small garden. Besides her career as a homemaker, she was President of the St. Mary's Rosary Altar Society and when her husband Jim fell ill, she took over his TV & Radio Repair Shop as they still had 3 young children at home. She ran the business for many years with the help of 2 of her sons during and after an illness took his life. SURVIVORS She is survived by her loving children Jean (Clifford) Williams, James (Tien) Rogers, Betty Wachter, William (Shirley) Rogers, Thomas (Marie) Rogers, Judith Holmes, Pauline (Tim) Varboncoeur and a brother William (Treva) Bratek and sisters Katy (John) O'Connor & Nancy Cigis and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by husbands James Rogers & Andrew Rohn, a granddaughter Gale Williams, grandson Darren Rogers, brothers Joseph, Rudolph, Jim and John Bratek and sisters Alice Gillespie, Madeline Brown and Mary Logie. SERVICE The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008, 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Len Sudlik officiating. Interment at Spring Lake Cemetery. VISITATION Saturday, before the service10-11 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church. MEMORIAL: St. Mary's Catholic Church or Alzheimers Association.
