Pauline "Polly" Gurden

Mrs. Pauline "Polly" Gurden, 79, passed away unexpectedly and went to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 13, 2008. She was born in Richland, Texas to Byron and Belle Holloway on January 31, 1930. During World War II, she met her beloved, Leston, and they were married in Donna, Texas. After moving to Michigan they raised their five children on a farm in Ovid, Michigan. Years later they relocated to Muskegon and were members of Shoreline Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband, Leston; her son, Gary Gurden; daughters, Pamela Keck, Marta MacGregor, and Lori Oosterhouse; and their respective families. Her greatest joy in life was her eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and mother and provided a secure home for her family to flourish. According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18th at the Ever Rest Funeral Home, 1783 E. Keating Ave. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Shoreline Church of Christ Building Fund, P.O.
