Mr. Clemons, age 80, died August 29, 2007. Born August 12, 1927, in Hamphill, KY, to Albert and Delcina (Banks) Clemons, he had lived in this area the past 30 years. On May 6, 1978, in Lakewood Club, he married the former Judith A. Johnson. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator until retiring. Mr. Clemons served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II and then in the US Air Force. He was preceded in death by a brother. FAMILY: His wife, Judy; 3 sons, Donald Clemons of NH, Paul Clemons Jr. and Michael Clemons, both of Twin Lake; 2 daughters, Carol (Ron) Nelson and Paula Clemons; 4 grandchildren; 1 sister, Chris Allmeyer of OH; a half-brother, Don (Carol) Lovely of NC; many nieces and nephews. SERVICE: Friday, August 31, 2007, at 2:00 PM, from Clock Chapel-Whitehall with Pastor Robert D. Crawford officiating. Interment will be made in Twin Lake Cemetery. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the Muskegon County Veteran Council. VISITING HOURS: Friday, 1:00 PM until service time, at Clock Funeral Home in Whitehall.
