Patrick Ryan Marsala, 37, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on April 8 at Butterworth Hospital. Born on October 2, 1988, in Michigan, Patrick was the beloved son of William (Bill) Marsala and the late Mary Kay Cartier, and the cherished stepson of Cindy.

A graduate of Mona Shores High School, Patrick worked in general labor, including at Eagle Alloy in Muskegon. He faced health challenges with courage, living with a seizure disorder, yet he remained known for his kindness, warmth, and the way he connected with people. Patrick loved spending time at the library-both in Muskegon and Grand Rapids-and had a remarkable gift for languages, learning quickly and sharing that talent with those around him.

Patrick's legacy continues through the lives he helped save as an organ donor. His family takes comfort in knowing that his heart, lungs, liver, and kidney(s) brought hope to others.

Patrick is survived by his father, William (Bill); his stepmother, Cindy; his brothers, Anthony of Muskegon and Robert of Florida; his uncle, Tom; his aunt, Michelle; and several cousins; Step-father Dan Hoeker; step siblings, Bryan (Julie) Hoeker, Christina (Eric) Grosvenor, Laura (Anthony) Guitterez. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Kay.

In accordance with the family's wishes, direct cremation has been arranged and no formal services are planned at this time. A celebration of life may be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in Patrick's memory or contributions to organizations supporting organ donation.

Arrangements are entrusted to Clock Funeral Home. Please share memories and condolences at the funeral home's website.
