Patricia Young

Mrs. Patricia L. Young, age 74, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on March 27, 1940 to Francis J. & Eleanor B. (Shippy) Scott and married Robert D. Young on February 27, 1960. Mrs.Young was a long time member of Crestwood United Methodist Church and Woman's Service Club through the YFCA. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was a long time sports fan of Mona Shores for over 45 years and a patron of the arts. Although it was but a short stay at Harbor House Poppen Residence, the memories of the compassion and love given to Pat from the staff will long be with us. As we watched her transforming from the physical being to the spiritual being, it was much like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon where the cocoon is left behind but the butterfly is free. Young of Coldwater; grandchildren, Justin, Christopher, Bethany & Kathryn; sister Ardis Drabik of Norton Shores; many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Elwin, Jack and Wanda. SERVICE Thursday, March 12, 2015, 11:00 am at Crestwood Methodist Church with Pastor Mary Sweet officiating. Interment in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION Wednesday, March 11, 2015, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Clock Funeral Home - Muskegon & Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
