CARLSON (DEATER), MRS. PATRICIA D. Norton Shores Mrs. Patricia D. (Deater) Carlson, age 90, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014. She was born in Muskegon, MI on April 2, 1924 to Rufus L. & Geraldine (Bowen) Deater and married Merle O. Carlson on June 17, 1949. Mrs. Carlson had been a Teacher at Orchard View Public Schools and Mona Shores Public Schools for 35 years until retiring in 1986. She was a member of Forest Park Covenant Church where she was actively involved in church youth ministries, choir and Covenant Women. SURVIVORS Patricia will be greatly missed by daughter, Cathleen (James) Dephouse of Muskegon; son, Richard (Ruth) Carlson of Auburndale FL; grandchildren, Jason (Elizabeth) Dephouse, Jon (Sarah Lynn) Dephouse, Paul Carlson, Shyla Carlson, Hayleigh Carlson, Ariana Carlson, Delmarie Carlson; great grandchildren, Caleb Dephouse, Josiah Dephouse and Ethan Dephouse; brother, Daniel (Marilyn) Deater; sister, Geraldine Peterson; sister-in-law, Betty Deater and brothers-in-law, Ronald (Florence) Carlson and Wesley Carlson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle in 2000; her parents; sister, Kathleen Deater; brother, Gerald Deater and brother-in-law, Rev. Norris Peterson. SERVICE Wednesday, June 11, 2014, 11:00 AM at Forest Park Covenant Church with Rev. Wally Coots officiating. Interment at Norton Cemetery.
