So much can happen in a single day. . .you can touch someones life in a way you may never know. Pamela Seeger touched many lives during her 57 years on this earth, with no thoughts of her own needs. The kindest, most caring lady, family meant everything to Pam. She cherished them with all her heart, caring for them in times of need and celebrating with them in times of joy. A woman who loved going to casinos, riding on the back of her husbands Harley and creating loving memories with her family at their cabin, Pam was both blessed by and a blessing to those she loved. The 1950s were a bustling, optimistic time in American history. Neighborhoods and schools were bursting at the seams in the post-war Baby Boom. Pamela was born during this period of robust exuberance to Lawrence and Dorothy (McMachen) Bogner of Muskegon, Michigan on April 4, 1953. Pam was welcomed into the family by her two older sisters, Gwen and Jackie, who loved to dote on her. Pams parents both worked to support their family her father at Continental Motors and her mother at the Employment Office. Pam was only 2 when her parents divorced and she went to live with her father and Madonna and was joined later by 3 new brothers, Larry, John and Bob Bogner. Here, she was raised in the Catholic faith, and attended Carr Elementary and Muskegon Catholic High School. Pam was an excellent student and particularly enjoyed cooking class. In 1969, at age of 16, Pam moved to Owosso to live with her mother, dad Don, sisters Gwen and Jackie and 3 brothers, Ken, David and Steve. Pam graduated from Owosso H.S. in 1971; she and best friend Diane (Svarc) Bautista shared many secrets and good times. In 1973 the family moved to Traverse City where she was the Office Manager for her dads business, Bay Motor Products. In 1980 Pam was offered a job at Sealed Power Corp. and she moved back to Muskegon. She lived in Arlington Estates and would meet her future husband, Pug (Wayne) Seeger, while bowling at PinCrest with her best friends Vicki Seeger, Marsha Kukula, Sally Becklin, Sue Taylor and Barb Whiteman. Theirs was love at first sight, and a mere 10 months later, the two were happily married on September 15, 1984. The newlyweds settled into their home together at 6328 Brooks Road in Fruitport. Pam and Pug enjoyed 26 great years of marriage. They traveled together on Pugs Harley that he bought in 2002, to places like Sturgis, South Dakota. Pam eventually left Sealed Power and went to work at SAF Holland as a Warranty Supervisor. A loyal, hard worker, she recently celebrated 15 years at SAF. For Pam, family was the greatest source of happiness in her life. She shared many fun and treasured moments with her family at their cabin in Kalkaska in Northern Michigan. Pam took great pride in her role as a sister, staying close to all her siblings over the years. Sadly, she lost her father, Larry, in 1995, and a year later, her mother, Dorothy, who she was immensely close to and devastatingly heartbroken. Pam had such a full and caring heart, and everyone who spent time with her felt the warmth of her presence. She had a special place in her heart for children, though never had any of her own. Because of her warm disposition, many children referred to her as Aunt Pam. Socially, Pam also enjoyed the company of her good friends, Vicki Seeger, Marsha Kukulka, Sally Becklin, Sue Taylor and Barb Whiteman. In her leisure time, Pam had many hobbies she enjoyed, including cooking, baking, bowling, working in the yard and helping Pug with projects around the house. For fun, Pam absolutely loved going to the casinos to play the one-armed bandits, on which she regularly did very, very well. She was also on her game when it came to rooting for her favorite hockey team, the Detroit Red Wings; she was a huge fan. Pam stayed physically active as a member of Curves. She loved a hot cup of coffee, but did not like having to back up the car, so Pug built their driveway through the garage and she could drive through straight. Pam leaves a huge void in many lives and will be forever missed. Pamela J. Seeger, cherished wife and adored sister, aunt, and friend, left us Thursday evening, November 11, 2010, after a tragic automobile accident. Pam is survived by her husband, Pug (Wayne) Seeger of Fruitport; her stepmother, Madonna Bogner of Muskegon. She was the "Baby Sister" to both her older and younger siblings and is survived by Gwen (Bogner) Hall of Traverse City, Jackie (Bogner) Cordier of The Villages, FL, David Bleich of Traverse City, Steve Bleich of Clinton Township, Kathy (Ken) Bleich of Grand Rapids, Carol (Seeger) Howard of Muskegon, Larry of Muskegon, John Bogner of Whitehall, and Bob Bogner of Grand Haven. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, who knew Aunt Pam as one of the most loving, kind and concerned persons in their lives. Pam was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Bogner; mother, Dorothy Bleich; dad, Donald Bleich; and brother, Ken Bleich. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 17, at 12:00 p.m. at Fruitport Congregational United Church of Christ with Rev. Greg Howard officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 16, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Fruitport. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fruitport Lions Club or VNS Hospice.
