Owen James Ryke, 18, of the Muskegon area, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, September 27, 2026. Born on November 16, 2007, at Hackley Hospital in Muskegon, to Elizabeth Campbell and Blaine Ryke. Owen was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and grandson whose gentle spirit and sweet nature touched everyone who knew him.
Owen attended Orchard View Schools, where he completed alternative schooling. He had worked at Orchard Market stocking shelves and later helped assemble movie theater chairs for Cinema Carousel. Tall and slender, with an endless appetite, Owen was known for his shy demeanor around new people and his warm, talkative side with family and close friends. He loved playing video games with his brother, riding mopeds and mini bikes, and spending quiet time at home. He also enjoyed fishing and had a keen fascination with fast cars and firearms. Above all, Owen was a "big sweetheart," thoughtful and kind.
He is survived by his loving mother, Elizabeth Campbell; his father, Blaine Ryke; his siblings, Jaden and Arissa Ryke; his adoring nephews, Leo McCloskey and Axle Garvey; his grandmother, Terri Reed (Donald); and many aunts, uncles, and extended family.
A public memorial service to celebrate Owen's life will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Clock Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions toward his final expenses are appreciated through the family's GoFundMe. Arrangements are entrusted to Clock Funeral Home. Please share memories and condolences at www.clockfuneralhome.com.
