TOWNE, MR. ORVILLE ''LLOYD''L. Fruitport, MI Mr. Orville ''Lloyd'' L. Towne, age 81, died Thursday, December 19, 2002. He was born in Newaygo County, MI on February 27, 1921 to Charles & Edith Bunker Towne & married Leona on May 1, 1943. Mr. Towne had been employed as a Inspector/Machinist at Lakey Foundry for 31 years until retiring in 1975. He was a member of Fruitport Congregational United Church of Christ. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. He has many good friends & neighbors. He especially enjoyed his Army buddies of the 96th Infantry Division. He liked to hunt, fish & whittle. SURVIVORS Wife, Leona; 1 son, Kimball Vicki Towne of Nunica; 4 daughters, Karen Towne of Muskegon, Nancy Holbrook of Grand Rapids, Marlene Mike Earnest of Muskegon & Pamela Nick DeVille of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Shirley Young of Alma, MI & 1 nephew, Clare Towne of Newaygo; a very close cousin, Paul Eleanor Towne of Lamont, MI. SERVICE Monday, December 23, 2002, 11:00 AM at Fruitport Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Don Wood officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
