JOHNSTON, MR. ORRIN H. ''O.J.'' Fruitport Mr. Orrin ''O.J.'' H. Johnston, age 88, died Wednesday, April 28, 2004. He was born in Casnovia, MI on March 20, 1916 to Orley & Virginia Christian Johnston & married the former Alice ''Bobbie'' Hittle on September 5, 1936. Mr. Johnston served his country in the U.S. Army in Okinawa during WWII. He had been employed as a mechanic at Midway Service Garage & after that he worked at Ron's Crane & Rigging for 35 years until retiring in 1981.He was a charter member of Fruitport Eagles, life member of AMVETS of Mesick, member of V.F.W. & a former member of Muskegon Moose Lodge. Mr. Johnston enjoyed motorcycle riding, traveling, hunting & fishing but foremost was his family. SURVIVORS 1 daughter, Donna Jim Nestell of Ravenna; 6 grandchildren, Lana Grevengoed, Laura Mark Lamphere Ellis, Scott Margaret Nestell, Suzanne Bruce Houseman, Deanna Ken VanderWal & Jeff Susan Nestell; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 1 sister, E. Helene Bourdo of Muskegon; 3 brothers, Vernon Johnston of Muskegon, Erwin Johnston of Sparta & Owen Lorraine Johnston of Spring Lake; son-in-law, John Buist; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice; daughter, Lorna Buist; sister, Jeanette Thompson; brother, Frank. SERVICE Saturday, May 1, 2004, 3:00 PM at the Clock Chapel with Pastor Craig Cramblet officiating. Interment at Fruitport Cemetery. VISITATION Friday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home. MEMORIAL: Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana or Salvation Army. Clock - Muskegon
