Orlando Daren Brown, age 63, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024. He was born in Bessemer, Alabama on March 7, 1961, to Lola B. Brown and moved to Muskegon when he was very young and attended Muskegon Public Schools. He married the former Debra Taylor on August 22, 1984. Orlando had been employed as a Security Guard for Hackley Hospital and also worked as an exterior and interior painter for the City of Muskegon and the City of Muskegon Heights. In the 1990's he also operated Mitchell's Market & Deli which was named after his infant son who passed away at birth. He liked bowling, playing pool, fishing, and working on cars. Orlando was an accomplished handyman and remodeled many homes doing all the electrical and construction himself. But most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending all of their sporting events. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Wife Debra Brown; Children, Orlando (Nikkia) Brown II; Carmela (Calvin) Carter, Donisha (Frankie Williams) Brown; grandchildren Latray Brown, Drean Brown, Frankie Williams III, Jayvon Carter, Terri'Anna Carter, Dontrell Williams, Louis Williams, Davion Williams, Elijah Brown, La'Nieyah Brown, Jo'Saiah Brown, A'Laieyah Brown, Great Grandchild, Latrell; Brothers Irvin (Cassandra) Brown, Perry (Kimberly) Brown; A host of Nieces and nephews. Orlando was preceded in death by an infant son Mitchell, mother, Lola Brown, sisters Willa Bea Brown, Josephine Brown-West.

SERVICE

Thursday, October 3, 2024, 12:00 PM at Clock Chapel - Muskegon. Interment in Mona View Cemetery.
