Orel Anne Borgeson

Borgeson, Ms. Orel Anne Norton Shores, Michigan Orel Anne Borgeson, age 103, passed away Monday, October 19, 2020. She was born in Muskegon, MI on April 14, 1917 to Ora Mathilda & Louis Elmer Eklund. She met Wes Borgeson at the beach in Pere Marquette Park and they married on August 18, 1938. She was a 1935 graduate of Muskegon High School. After raising a family, she was employed at Fleet Engineers, retiring as Assistant Treasurer. Orel was a longtime member of Forest Park Covenant Church where she played the organ for over 50 years and was very active. She enjoyed spending time in Florida with her husband, playing the piano and organ, knitting, sewing, entertaining, playing Scrabble, and quilting -- every stitch by hand. SURVIVORS 3 daughters, Anne (Timothy) Erickson, Bonnie Borgeson, Cheryl (Lester Carlstrom) Borgeson; 2 grandchildren; Ingrid (Alexander) Reineking & Karl (Amber) Erickson; 3 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ann Eklund; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 siblings, husband, E. Wesley and a son, Louis Joseph, at birth.
