Ora Ashley

Mr. Ora M. Ashley, age 87, died Sunday, February 14, 2010. He was born in Montcalm County, MI on June 16, 1922 to Richard & Francis (Garrison) Ashley and served his country in the US Army. He married the former Lucille M. Rice on January 13, 1951. Mr. Ashley had been a Deputy Sheriff for Muskegon County for 34 years until retiring. He was a member of Unity United Methodist Church. He was a life member of Charles D. Hammond Lodge 99 & past Govenor of Moose Lodge #491. SURVIVORS Daughter, Sonya (Mark) Trygstad; sons, Orie Ashley, Earl (Peggy) Ashley; grandchildren, Toby, Chuck, Jason, Ryan, Joe, Jeff, Erin great grandchildren, Jayden, Kurt, Jasmin; sisters, Kathy (Hugh) Alger, Margaret Ashley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille in 1997; grandaughter, Amy; brothers, Charles sister, Bertha. SERVICE A memorial service will be held at a later date.
