Norman Burns

Mr. Norman Walter Burns , age 78, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017. He was born on May 19, 1938 and married the former Marilyn Bushaw on December 21, 1963. Mr. Burns served his country in the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne and later was employed as a Powerhouse Engineer for Campbell, Wyant & Cannon for 27 years until retiring in 1986. Norman was a lifetime member of the Seaway Gun Club, had a strong passion for hunting, fishing and trapping, was a lifelong dog owner and a regular at Gary's Restaurant in Whitehall. SURVIVORS Sons, Dan (Tianna) Burns of Whitehall, Ron (Traci) Burns of Norton Shores, Tom Burns of Whitehall; 7 grandchildren, Lila, Joe, Leeanna, Troy, Haylie, Laney, Manda; 2 great grandchildren, Payson & Porter; sister, Cathy Obegon & special family friend, Lori Helm. He was preceded in death by wife, Marilyn on August 17, 2016. SERVICE Saturday, January 14, 2017, 3:00 pm with visitation one hour prior at Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Ken Shady officiating. Interment in Oakhurst Cemetery.
