Norman Batch

Mr. Norman V. Batch, age 86, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011. He was born in Muskegon, MI on March 17, 1925 to Virgil & Carrie (Lucas) Batch and served his country in the US Army during WWII. He married the former Pauline Jewel Wilson on February 14, 1948. Mr. Batch had been a Metal Fabricator at Dresser Ind. for 53 years until retiring 1990. He attended Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene. SURVIVORS Daughter, Linda Meeuwenberg; sons, Wayne (Vall) Batch, Terry (Nancy) Batch, Jon (Shelly) Batch, Jim (Kelly) Batch; grandchildren, Gretchen Meeuwenberg, Jenica (Daryl), Jacob (fianc Jade), Jordan, Brook, Brielle, Bailee, Adam, Laura, Bryson, Stephanie, Taylor, Courtney; great grandchildren, Coby, Audrie, Blake; sister, Shirley Thompson; sister-in-law, Coleen "Coke" Christiansen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline in 2004 and brother, Ernest. SERVICE Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 11:00 AM and visitation 1 hour prior to the service at Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Thomas Parks officiating. Military Honors under the Auspices of the Muskegon County Council of Veterans. MEMORIAL: Arthritis Foundation or Harbor Hospice-Poppen House.
