Mrs. Norma L. Weston, age 96, passed July 11, 2015. She was born in Muskegon, on January 20, 1919 to William H. and Rose K. (Brown) Bassett and was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Muskegon High School and attended Muskegon Jr. College for two years. On March 4, 1939, she married George H. Weston who preceded her in death on November 26, 2004. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and a son-in-law. Norma was employed by the former Wolverine Express for many years. She then became a volunteer at Hackley Hospital. She enjoyed time with her family, traveling, theater, reading and was an avid knitter. Everyone who met her was inspired by her wit, spirit and compassion. A sincere thank you to her wonderful caregivers during the last 18 months. SURVIVORS two daughters, Barbara (Daniel) Weikel of North Muskegon, Patricia Green of Livonia; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren. SERVICE In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
