BEKINS, MRS. NELVINA H. ''NEL'' Grand Haven, MI Mrs. Nelvina ''Nel'' Henrietta Bekins, age 66, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at her home. She was born in Hawarden, IA on July 2, 1936 to Tunis & Hattie Westhuis DeVos & married Clifford Bekins on July 14, 1957 in Hudsonville, MI. Mrs. Bekins was a homemaker & a member of Hope Reformed Church. She enjoyed sewing, flower gardening, bicycling, walking & reading. Survivors: Husband, Clifford; mother, Hattie DeVos of Grand Rapids, MI; 2 sons, Randy Diana Bekins of Greenville, SC & Terry Marie Bekins of Grand Haven, MI; daughter, Vicki Brian Burton Bekins of Holland, MI; 7 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Harriet Rev. Harold Rust of Princeton, IL, Judy Keith Hoffman of Shelby, MI & Shirley Dave Gillet of Jenison, MI. Mrs. Bekins was preceded in death by her father & by her brother, Dennis DeVos. Service: Friday, April 18, 2003, 11:00 AM at Hope Reformed Church with Rev. Harold Rust officiating. Interment at Lakeshore Cemetery. Visitation: Thursday, 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
