Nellie Poel

Mrs Nellie (Southland) Poel, aged 91, of Coopersville, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday, July 14, 2007. She was a retired postmistress from Lamont. She was an active member of Coopersville Christian Reformed Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry Southland and Oscar Poel. Surviving are her children, Judy and John Prichard, Jerry and Shirley Southland, Carol and Mel Scherpenisse and Bonnie and Jim Roskam; 11 grandchildren;11 great grandchildren; stepchildren, RJ and Marian Poel, Mary Jo DeYoung, John and Becky Poel, Cal and Sharon Poel and Glenn and Carol Poel; numerous stepgrandchildren and step great grandchildren. Memorial Service Wednesday 11am at Coopersville Christian Reformed Church, Rev. Ronald Redder officiating. Burial Coopersville Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday, 3:30pm to 5:30pm and 7pm to 9pm at the Throop Funeral Home, Coopersville. Memorials to Coopersville Cares, 180 N. 68th Ave., Coopersville, MI 49404 will be appreciated.
