Neilsen, Ruth F.

Mrs. Ruth Neilsen, age 88, passed away Friday, October 20, 2006, in Lansing, MI. She was born July 14, 1918, in Muskegon, MI. The former Ruth Veitenheimer married Daniel P. Neilsen May 17, 1947, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Muskegon. Mrs. Neilsen was a clerk for the Muskegon Health Department for over 10 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the Mercy Hospital Guild. Mrs. Neilsen is survived by 3 sons, Dan (Denise) Neilsen of Gross Pointe, MI., John Neilsen of E. Lansing, MI, and Mike (Jody) Neilsen of Mechanicsburg, PA; 2 daughters, Mary Ann Blake of Santa Barbara, CA, and Katherine Neilsen of MA; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John and Charles; 5 sisters, Mary Veitenheimer, Jean Veitenheimer, Margaret Dwyer, Genevive Chesley and Anne Florence Black. FUNERAL MASS: Friday 12:00 P.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rev. Ernest Bernott officiating. Burial St.Mary's Cemetery. VISITATION: Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. ROSARY: Thursday evening 7:30 P.M.
