Myrtle Ruby Mcpheron

McPheron, Myrtle Ruby Fruitport, Michigan Myrtle Ruby McPheron, age 102, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023. She was born in Slayton, MN on June 21, 1920 to Walter & Amelia (Basche) Morphew and married Vernon McPheron on November 15, 1941. Mrs. McPheron had been employed as a Food Service Worker for Fruitport Public Schools for over 15 years before retiring. She was a proud graduate of Fruitport High School and a long time member of Word of Hope Church. Myrtle had been a 4H leader, involved with Ladies Aid and part of the Fruitport Silver Eagles. She enjoyed knitting, crochet and reading. SURVIVORS sons Howard (Marie) Allen, Merlin (Naurine) McPheron; daughter Lois (John) Mathews; son-in-law Terry Hagen; sister, Esther Saunders; brother, Lyle (Carolyn) Morphew; 20 Grand Children; 48 Great Grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren and a few great-great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon in 1989; 2 sons, Barry McPheron, Vernon George McPheron; daughter Marlene Hagen; sister Clara Keller and brothers Walter Morphew Jr., Roy Morphew and Henry Morphew. SERVICE Saturday, March 18, 2023, 1:00 PM at Clock Funeral Home with Rev. John Koedyker officiating. VISITATION: One hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment in Fruitport Cemetery.
