-Days come and days go, but the ones you love, and who you love, including Jesus, are what matter most. On August 14, 1926 Myra Lee was born at Bloomington, Illinois to Eugene and Emma (Jones) Cofer, in the Mennonite Hospital. She went home to her extended family of her parents, a brother, maternal grandparents, two aunts, and an uncle. In 1931 the family, except for the aunts, moved to a farm near Coldwater, Michigan. Myra Lee graduated from Coldwater High School in 1944. On August 10, 1947 she married Garrett Rubley and soon moved to Muskegon, where Garrett found employment. Myra Lee was a stay at home mother to their four sons, Keith, Kent, Kevin, and Kirk. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother and active in PTA. She became a member of Wood Avenue Methodist Church, which later became Crestwood United Methodist Church. Myra has been active in the United Methodist Women, belonging to the Lydia Circle. Myra Lee, at one time, served on several committees, including financial secretary. She was also Garretts office girl, until he retired as owner of R Antenna Service. Myras love of dogs was well known, and she seldom met a dog she did not like. The family always had one or two dogs. Besides dogs, Myra Lee liked horses and horse races. She even attended the Kentucky Derby one year. She also loved watching the birds at the feeders, reading, music, and stage plays , especially musicals, movies, chocolate sodas, and grasshoppers. Myra Lee was blessed by many good friends through the years, including her closest one, Joan and her angel friend, Donna Lee. She cherished the times spent with her family. Among her blessings were her grandchildren, and the joy she had when she could babysit them. Survivors: Garrett, her husband of 68 years, her children: Kent and Mardi of Montague, Keith and Debby of Montague, Kirk and Beth of North Carolina, and Kevin and Dorota of Grand Rapids. Her grandchildren include: Beth Ann (Rodney) Lloyd, Heather (Mike) Drouin, Will (Maura), Sara (Barry) Miller, Abby, Katie, Cassie, Cara (Mike) Balmer, Nathan, Levi and Lidia. Greatgrandchildren include Max, Chase, Jackson, Jack, Gavin, Henry, Anna & Caleb and a step great grand-daughter, Miranda, her sister in law, Alice Cofer of Chelsea, three nieces, Nancy Heywood, Carol (Dick) McTaggart, and Wendy (Dick) Hile, and their families, 3 cousins, 2 sisters-in-law, Shorty (Flora) and Florence of Coldwater, a special niece-in-law Gloria, and nephews-in-law Ross and Gerald, her dog Josie and her grand dogs. Myra Lee was proceeded in death by her parents, her brother Art, and a beloved daughter-in-law, Carol. To her family: Remember the good times. Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 28, 2015, 2:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Mary A. Sweet officiating. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater Michigan. MEMORIAL: In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to Pound Buddies or Crestwood UMC. In addition to services in Muskegon there will also be a visitation on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, 6:00-8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater MI.
