UMBERGER, MRS. MARGARET ELIZABETH Spring Lake Margaret E. Umberger, 89, of Spring Lake passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2006. She was born Nov. 15, 1916, in Camden, NJ to Aaron and Fannie (Humphreys) Scheibner. In 1941 she married the Rev. Dr. Eugene B. Umberger, with whom she shared in ministry in the Lutheran and Presbyterian Churches. He preceded her in death in 1999. Mrs. Umberger graduated from the New Jersey College for Women with a Masters Degree in Library Science and had been a college librarian at State University of New York College at Oneonta. Mrs. Umberger had been a founder and volunteer for the Iroquois Indian Museum of Schoharie County, New York. She was a member of Church of the Dunes. SURVIVORS Son, Eugene B. Umberger of Green Bay, WI; 2 daughters, Kristin (Robert) Proper of Greensboro, GA and Bronwen (Barry) Kram of Norton Shores, MI; 6 grandchildren, Sara (Shawn) Morrow, Jennifer (Michael) Canali, Megan Kram, Jared (Tara) Kram, Justin (McLean) Kram and Gwyneth Kram; 3 great grandchildren. SERVICE A memorial service for Margaret will be held in New York in June. MEMORIAL: Church of the Dunes Memorial Fund.
