Renee' Lynn Moser, mother, baker, champion bodybuilder, role model, friend, competitive athlete, proprietor, professional trainer, softball coach, teacher, and prayer partner went to be with her Lord and Saviour on February 2, 2007, at the age of 44. She was born February 22, 1962, in Muskegon to Ted & Lois (Smack) Moser and had been a life resident of the area. Early on, Renee' wanted to be an Olympic athlete, which explained her desire to excel in competitive sports. She loved playing football, basketball, softball, and teaching physical education whether it was in the classroom or at "The Omni". She was a graduate of Fruitport High School and was a physical education graduate of Western Michigan University where she received many awards and set many still standing records. It was during her years at WMU that body building and Cliff Shipley entered her life, eventually leading her to winning the Natural Northern Michigan Body Building Competition where Renee' won the master, lightweight, and the overall divisions in 2005. She was "blessed with the best training partner", for it was Cliff that taught her how to train to become a Champion. Renee' excelled whether she was coaching softball at Muskegon Community College, working for the City of Muskegon Department of Leisure Services or training clients who became friends. After being in the classroom, on the ball field, writing short articles as Vice President of Sports and Athletes for the State of Michigan and training wonderful people, the opportunity presented itself on Broadway Avenue where she became the owner of Goodgrains Bakehouse. The Bakehouse became her mission field and another opportunity to show her "passion for people". SURVIVORS include her son, Jaden Marcus Moser, her very dear friend Nancy, her parents, Ted & Lois Moser of Muskegon; 5 brothers and a sister, John (Lori) Moser, David (Debbie) Moser, Katrina (David) Olinghouse, Matthew (Angie) Moser, Jason (Amy) Moser, and Timothy (Amanda) Moser, all of Norton Shores; 15 nieces and nephews; 6 great-nieces and nephews and her dear mentor, coach, and friend, Cliff Shipley, of Kalamazoo. She will be missed ever so much! A FUNERAL SERVICE celebrating Renee's life will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, February 6 at Calvary Church (5873 Kendra Rd., Fruitport) with her pastor, Bill Rudd, officiating. VISITATION will be February 4 at 2PM - 4PM and 6PM - 9PM at: The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W.
