Mildred L. Smith

Mrs. Smith, age 83, died February 4, 2008. Born August 29, 1924, in Carr Settlement, Lake County, to Elzie and Nellie (Sleeper) Sellon, she had lived in the White Lake area since 1989. On March 27, 1976, in Muskegon, she married Robert C. Smith, who preceded her in death in 1995. She had been employed as a social worker at Muskegon Community Mental Health Department, for the State of Michigan, and Mission for Area People. Mrs. Smith was a member of White Lake Congregational UCC and a member of White Lake Senior Center. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Peter Stibitz, 1971 and 3 sisters and 2 brothers. FAMILY: 1 son, William (Pam) Stibitz of Whitehall; 4 granddaughters, Lisa (Marc) Zumberg of FL, Ann (Mark) Lyons of Lansing, Jamie (Chris) Downing of WI and Sarah Stibitz of Whitehall; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Doris Howard of FL; 2 brothers, Leo Sellon of Grand Rapids and Earl (Jean) Sellon of NY; special friends, Linda & Dave Jones of Greenville. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Friday, February 8, 2008 at 11:00 am from White Lake Congregational UCC with the Rev. Keith N. Koebel and the Rev. Pam L. Koebel officiating.
