Mildred Jesty

Mrs. Mildred Eleanor Jesty, age 97, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 18, 2007. She was born in Chicago, IL on October 24, 1909 to Burt & Maude (Fulbright) Nixon & married Fred Jesty on January 31, 1931 in Indianapolis, IN. Mrs. Jesty had been employed as a florist in Grand Haven in the 1950's. Mr. & Mrs. Jesty resided in Florida for 30 years before returning to Spring Lake in 1990. She was a member of United Methodist Church of the Dunes, D.A.R. & former member of Spring Lake Country Club. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Sheldon Meadows in Hudsonville, Shore Haven in Grand Haven & Hospice of North Ottawa for their comfort & care. SURVIVORS Daughter, Rhoda (Jay) Reenders of Allendale, MI; 5 grandchildren, Dr. Susan (Monty) McNaught of SD, Cindy (Clint) Beaver of WY, Sarah (Mark) Rittgers of VA, Symantha Reenders of GA and B.J. (Amanda) Reenders of Allendale; 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Fred in 2000, brother, LaVerne Nixon & a great grandchild, Melissa Beaver in 1994. SERVICE A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Interment Spring Lake Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL: Hospice of North Ottawa or Gideons International.
