Mildred Fry

Mrs. Mildred M. Fry, age 89, passed away unexpectedly June 13, 2007, following a heart attack. She was born May 24, 1918 in Muskegon, the third of six children, to Henry and Alice (Mink) Boutell. She moved to White Cloud as a young woman and returned to Muskegon in 1961. She married Clyde E. Fry in Muskegon on September 14, 1938 and he preceded her in death in 2001. Mrs. Fry was a faithful member of Lake Harbor United Methodist Church. She was a Gray Lady and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid bowler and a Detroit Tiger baseball fan. Mrs. Fry taught Sunday School in White Cloud and also at Temple United Methodist Church in Muskegon Heights where she was a former member. She along with her husband Clyde was a real estate agent at Clyde Hendrick Realty and also worked as a receptionist and bookkeeper for Dr. Rector. SURVIVORS: 1 son, Carlton F. (Rondi) Fry of Lansing; 3 daughters, Janet L. (Lesley) Keith of Grant, Lorraine J. Winchel of Fremont and Alice J. (Gunther) VanHorssen of Ann Arbor; 2 sisters, Helen Mudgett and Lois Meisenheimer both of Muskegon; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held Saturday 11 A.M. at Lake Harbor United Methodist Church, 4861 S. Henry St., with Rev. Dick Morrison DM presiding.
