CASIMIR "Metz" MIECZKOWSKI SR. Casimir Mieczkowski Sr. , age 81, of Grand Haven died Feb. 18, 2006. He was born in May 18, 1924 in Erie, PA to Joseph and Bernice (Stempka) Mieczkowski and married the former Delores Darlymple on July 28, 1951. "Metz" was a piano tuner for Story & Clark for nearly 30 years. He served his country in the US Army in WWII and he was a member of the Fruitport Congregational UCC. He loved woodworking, cabinetry and fishing. Survivors: Wife, of 54 years, Delores; 3 sons, Casey Mieczkowski of Wyoming, Michael (Mary Ann) Mieczkowski of Spring Lake and James Mieczkowski of Grand Haven; 2 daughters Robin (Steve) Sluis of Howell, MI and Ruth Gravelyn of Comstock Park, MI. 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Mr. Mieczkowski was preceded in death by a daughter, Sally in 1992 and granddaughter, Shawn in 1974. In accordance with his wishes there will be no funeral services.
