Michael Terbush Profile Photo

Michael C. Terbush was a hardworking, caring man whose actions spoke volumes of his character. He proudly served his country as a courageous soldier, his community as a respected businessman, and his family as a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and friend. For sixty-three years, he shared his love, loyalty and the joy of life itself with all who knew and even met him. In 1949, the United States was recovering from the effects of World War II, Harry S. Truman began his second term as President, and George Orwell had just published his controversial novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. However, in Oak Park, Illinois, Herbert and Delores (Huether) Terbush were celebrating something of much more importance - the birth of their son, Michael, on May 30, 1949. Michael grew up in a large family with six siblings and three step-sisters. He received his education in the area schools, and upon graduating, he followed the same patriotic calling of other young men of the time, and enlisted in the U.S. Marines. He was proud of his service to this country. Michael was a true family man. He was a loving husband to his wife, Christine (Stevens), who he married on August 20, 2010, and a devoted father to his children, Michael and Shannon. Although family was the most important part of Michaels life; his boating business was a close second. He was the owner of MC Marine (formerly Lakeside Marine) in Muskegon, and he work hard to make his business a success. One of the great perks of being a boat dealer was that Michael was able to spend a lot of time out on the open waters, which was like his second home. Life could get no better! He will be greatly missed. Michael C. Terbush, age 63, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Christine; son, Michael Terbush of ID; daughter, Shannon (Brian) Forrester of Spring Lake; stepsons, Jacob Stevens & Alan Stevens of Muskegon; brothers, Guy, Mark, Wade, Tim Terbush; step sister, Jeannie.
