Michael Spytma

Michael F. Spytma Jr. age 69 of Fountain, formally of Holland, passed away on July 2, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center of West Michigan. He was born February 5, 1940 in Muskegon, MI, son of Michael and Marie Victoria (Belka) Spytma. Michael attended school in Muskegon and married Nancy L. Chapin on August 13, 1974 in Grand Haven, MI. Michael was employed by the Haworth Company retiring after 28 years of service in 1999. Mike enjoyed his friends, pets, fishing, riding lawnmowers and was a member of the Holland Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his sisters, Eleanor Galant, Evelyn Gauthier; his brother, Joseph Spytma; 4 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law; grandchildren, Christopher and Anthony Lee; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Michael is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Darlene Lee. A funeral service for Michael will be held on Tuesday July 7, 2009 at 11 AM at Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3060 W. US 10, Ludington with Pastor Ron Houk officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of service. Final interment will take place at Bachelor Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Michael can be made to the Mason County Animal Shelter. The family has entrusted Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center with arrangements.
