Michael John Oliva

Oliva, Michael John Lake Station, Indiana Michael John Oliva, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 27, 2020 in Lake Station, Indiana. He was born in Muskegon, MI on January 14, 1961 to Juan & Velma (Grammar) Oliva. Michael attended Muskegon Public Schools and later served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Oliva worked in the office furniture business most of his life as a furniture maker and installer. He worked for Jacobson's Furniture Company and was a former owner of Office Funiture Specialists both in Gary, IN. For the last 7 years he was employed at Office Furniture Center. Mike liked hunting, fishing and camping with friends and relatives. He enjoyed going to flea markets and loved his dogs. But formost in his life was his daughter, grandson and family. Mike will be dearly missed by all who knew him. SURVIVORS daughter Aleasha Martinez and grandson Manuel of Austin, TX; brothers Randy Oliva and Thedore Lutz; sister, Debra Koedyker and Vickie (Tom) Larson all of Muskegon; Former Spouse, Brenda Oliva; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Lutz. SERVICE Friday, March 6, 2020, 5:00 PM at Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Mr. James J. Schiltz officiating. Internment in St. mary's Cemetery.
