Michael Morey

Morey, Michael Bernard age 61 of West Olive, MI passed away Tuesday July 19, 2016. Mike was born in Caro, MI and raised in Midland, MI. Mike is preceded in death by his father, Bernard George Morey. He is survived by his mother Ruth Morey of Midland, MI. Sons, Aaron (Anji) Morey of West Olive, MI and Derek (Candace) Morey of Marion, OH. Beloved grandchildren, Hope Morey, Luke Morey and Shannon Morey. In addition he is survived by brothers Mark (Joyce) Morey of White Bluff, TN, Mitch (Caryn) Morey, nieces Krystyn and Ashlin Morey of San Diego, CA and sister Carla Morey of Rowlett, TX. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Mike was a 1973 high school graduate of Bullock Creek High School. He went on to become a master wood worker and worked for many years at Bob Webb Homes in Delaware, OH. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Mike knew his passion was race cars and racing. He lived for the sport and supported his son Aaron since the age of 4 in his racing endeavors. Mike spent all of his free time on this hobby and could be found at a race track every weekend. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Steve King Foundation in Mike's name.
