Michael James Sr., age 71, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024. He was born in Grand Haven, MI on February 22, 1953 to Holsey & Rosie (Roberson) James and graduated from Muskegon Heights High School and then went on to study at Western Michigan University for several years. Michael married the former Kathy McBride on September 20, 1977 and she preceded him in death in 2007. Mr. James had worked doing general labor for various companies through the years. He enjoyed poetry, music, spending quiet time by himself, and writing. Michael also greatly enjoyed abstract art, spending quality time with grandkids, and eating at KFC and McDonalds. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Sons, Michael James Jr., Dequon James; D'Anthony (Gwendolyn) Page; daughter Constance James; grandchildren, Nakia, DeAndre, DeQuoia, DeCarria, Olivia, D'Anthony II, Breanna, Anthony, Camyia, Cor'daya, Ezekial, Alecia, Darianna, Brittany, Taylor; great grandchildren, Declan, Latrell, Bre'Ella, Graceland, Rosacyn, Layla, Za'Kiya, Anyla, Cartier; siblings, Michelle, Debra Kay (Houston) Gray, Holsey Jr, Tony, Andre, and a plethora of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and siblings, Lawrence, Roger, Johnny and Stella.
