WRIGHT, MR. MERLIN ALVIN Muskegon, mi Mr. Merlin Alvin Wright, age 88, died Sunday, September 7, 2003. He was born in Mt. Pleasant, MI on May 29, 1915 to Lee & Leah Prothero Wright. Mr. Wright was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He had been employed as a Boiler Operator at S.D. Warren for 28 years prior to retiring in 1979, was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church & was an avid sports person. SURVIVORS Children, Joyce Lyle Robbins, Mary Alice Wright of Phoenix, AZ, Harriet Milton Voorhies, Caralee Robert Nietering of Grand Haven, MI, Patricia Gene Becklin, Catherine Wright, Cherri Wright, Anita Wright & Wade Lisa Wright; 29 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 8 great great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Trap VanderVelde. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna & his wife, Caroline; 2 brothers & by 4 sisters. SERVICE Thursday, September 11, 2003, 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Dennis Lassanske officiating. A graveside service will be held at Egelston Township Cemetery under the auspices of the Muskegon County Council of Veterans. VISITATION Wednesday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
