Mr. Merlin Robert Herlein, age 82, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on October 15, 1933 to Merlin L. & Grace (Klemp) Herlein and served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married the former Virginia Cook on July 4, 1953. Mr. Herlein had been employed as a Truck Driver for International Aid for 15 years until retiring. Merlin enjoyed watching Christian T.V., fixing things and tending his lawn. He will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Wife of 62 years, Virginia; children, Dawn (Chuck) Collard, Randall (Karen) Herlein, James (Debbie) Herlein, Christopher Herlein; grandchildren, Scott Herlein, Holly (Doug) Hodges, Jamie Herlein, Deja (Josh) Allmond, David (Tiffany) Herlein & Heidi Herlein; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Doris Herlein; sister-in-law, Betty (Richard) Guyott; brother-in-law, Ron (Joann) Cook; many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David; sisters, Vivian Rademaker, Nancy Herlein & Peggy Ludwig. SERVICE A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
