SWANSON, MR. MERLE E. "SWANNY" North Muskegon Mr. Merle E. "Swanny" Swanson, age 52, passed away very unexpectedly Saturday, December 3, 2005 at his home. He was born in Muskegon, MI on April 13, 1953 to Warren & Florence Kops Swanson. Mr. Swanson was a 1971 graduate of North Muskegon High School and resided in the area his entire life. He was employed by the City of North Muskegon for 35 years prior to his retirement in 2004. Mr. Swanson loved the outdoors, fishing, boating & cooking out with his friends. He played on several City Baseball & Football teams & was especially proud to be a member of the undefeated North Muskegon Football Team of 1970. SURVIVORS 3 sons, Craig Swanson of North Muskegon, Brandan Swanson of Mt. Pleasant & Trenton Swanson of Muskegon; 2 sisters Carol Tom Ammon of North Muskegon & Ruth Finch of Battle Creek; 3 brothers, Carl Swanson of Lakewood Club, Dale Sharon Swanson of North Muskegon & Conrad Rita Swanson of Lakewood Club; several nieces, nephews & special friend, Necia of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren & Florence Swanson. SERVICE Thursday, December 8, 2005, 2:00 PM at Community United Methodist Church with Dr. Glenn Wagner officiating.
